SPLAST Natural decorative textured coating of natural cork

SPLAST – is a liquid mixture made from natural cork powder and special polymers. It is applied with an air-spaying method on any surface. Ease of use, aesthetics, functionality, durability and ease of use – these qualities are combined in one product. The material is available in various colors and also can be painted with a conventional dyeing machine in any color, which will not affect either the thermal insulation properties or the spectacular appearance, but leaves room for your imagination and change of scenery.

Applying SPLAST

SPLAST could be applied to any type of surface by air sparing using spray gun attached to the compressor. Working pressure is 4 atmospheres, injectors used from 4 to 6 mm. When applying to porous fragile surfaces (silicate blocks, bricks, plaster), it is recommended that these surfaces be treated with an acrylic primer of deep penetration.

Before usage, the material should be mixed in a mixer at low speed until a uniform consistency is obtained. To control the viscosity a small amount of pure water (up to 200 ml) can be added.

The drying time is from 6 to 12 hours at an ambient temperature of 20°C. Depending on the application thickness, the time can be increased to 48 hours.

The material is not hazardous, not flammable and not toxic. Nevertheless, one should always clean the working tool with water, wash hands after work with warm water and soap.

To achieve a decorative coating of 2 mm thickness, it is necessary to spend 1.0-1.2 kg / m² (application in 1 layer). To obtain a heat-saving decorative coating with a thickness of 4.0-4.5 mm – the material consumption will be2.2-2.5 kg / m² (application in 2 layers).
